This hymn is written by Shri Vedvyas( Krishnadvaimpayana) in praise of the nine grahas/planets.
Japa-kusuma sankasham; kashyapeya mahadyutim;
tamorim sarva papaghnum, praNto asmi divakaram
One whose color matches to that of a red hibiscus; the son of Kasyapa; a great electrifier, destroyer of sins ,I pay my obeisance to such Sun god.( 1)
Dadhi shankha tusharabham; kshirodarNava sambhavam;
namami shashinan somam, shambhor mukuTa bhushaNam
The moon who resembles the color of curds, a conch; who emerged while the ocean was being churned ; I salute to that moon who adorns the forehead of lord shankara (2)
DhariNi garbha sambhutam vidyut kanti samaprabham;
Kumaram shakti hastancha mangalam praNamamyaham
One who has emerged from mother earth, is dynamic and electrifying; represents the power of youth; My salutations to mangala/mars. (3)
Priyangu kalika syamam, rupeNa pratimam budham;
saumyam saumya guNa patim tumbudham praNa mamyaham
Budha/mercury, who resembles to a bud of a priyangu, has wheatish complexion, who is gentle in nature, my salutations to thee. (4)
DevaNamcha, rishiNamcha guru kanchana sannibham;
buddhibhutam trilokesham tannamami brihaspatim
The master of deva and rishis, whose intellect shines like gold, I offer my prayers to the celestial teacher Brihaspati/jupiter. (5)
Himakun da mrinalabham, daityanam parama gurum;
sarva shastra pravaktaram tava bhargava praNamamyaham
The teacher of asuras resembles like snow petals of kunda/jasmine, one who has mastered all sciences, my prostrations to Bhargava- shukracharya/venus (6)
Neelanjana samaabhasam ravi putram yamagrajam
Chaaya marthanDa sambhootam tam namaami shanaischaram
The shanideva/Saturn who is the son of Chaya and Surya, elder to Yama-god of death; who appears like a black collyrium, I salute you (7)
Ardha Kaayam mahaa veeryam chandraditya vimardhanam
Simhika garbha sambhootam tam rahum pranamaamyaham
Half bodied and the vanquisher of Sun and moon; the son of demoness simhika; I pray to Rahu who is courageous (8 )
Palaash pushpa sankaasham taraka graha mastakam
Roudram roudraatmakam ghoram tam ketum pranamaamyaham
I pray to Ketu whose head appears like a star; who is fierce and terrifying and resembling a Palasha flower (9)

iti vyasa mukhodgitam ya: paTet susamahita: diva va yadi va ratri vighna shantir bhavishyati;
nar nari nrupaNancha bhaved duswapna nashanam;graha nakshtrajam peeDam taskaragni Samudbhava,
Thaa Sarvaa prasamam Yanthi Vyaso Bruthe Na Samsaya.
To any one reading this composed by Vyasa, there would not be any problems in either the day or the night and peace would come to him.
Men and women, kings;their bad dreams would be avoided, even protected by theft of wealth, loss by fire; They would earn incomparable wealth, and will lead disease free healthy life.
Sage Vyasa says that they will not suffer untimely deaths due to effect of malefic stars or planets and would lead a very peaceful life.
